Spam!

If anyone was reading the posts and saw the one that said, "I am free now"- I bet you are wondering what I am free from!   My email account was hacked and there is a way to email posts to this blog.  Obviously, the spam posted here too.  I am not free of anything :)

More pictures to come soon... I promise!

Eating Our Noodles With Chopsticks

These are from Chinese New Year... they used chopsticks...Need I say anymore?

All out of order!

I have updated today, but the posts are chronologically out of order.  If you ever see a lag in the postings...just gently remind me that I need to get back on it!   Kindergarten is hard sometimes (wink wink)!

Chinese New Year

We celebrated Chinese New Year when we got back from vacation.  It was actually just ending but the kids had fun learning about China and their traditions.  We got to try out eating noodles with chopsticks and the kids did great.  They also watched traditional lion dances which they thought were amazing!
We made snakes out of chains.

a poem about Chinese New Year

We were making our own version of Chinese red envelopes. We even painted Chinese symbols on them.

We made dragons using our handprints as the body.

This was a math game where we had to use chopsticks to get our popcorn.

Getting Ready for St. Patrick's Day

We are graphing the number of marshmallows in a 20 ounce box of Lucky Charms. Each person got a bagful to graph and we will put our results together to submit to the internet project that we joined.  They are trying to find out which shape is in the boxes most often.

We are hoping to catch a leprechaun over the weekend. Everyone is working on traps or signs to entice the leprechauns in.  Will we catch one?  Stay tuned to find out...we will have to see on Monday!

Read Across America

We celebrated Dr. Seuss's birthday by joining others online live and watching Vanessa Marano and Vincent Martella read some Dr. Seuss stories.  Vincent is the voice of Phineas on Phineas and Ferb. The kids loved when he used his Phineas voice!  He read us Green Eggs and Ham.

Police Station and Library Field Trip

In Jail... well not really!

We got to see where the policemen practice using their guns.

We love to listen to Mrs. Bender read!
