Just Curious

I'm always wondering who is reading our blog.... IF you see this posting, could you please send me a note in the green folder to say so.  This way, I will know if I need to re-post information about our blog to remind people to look.

Thanks so much,   Mrs. Hewitt

Election

We used our smartboard to talk about the upcoming *now finished* election on Monday.  The children learned about what you need to run for president and then we did a mock election.  Each child cast their ballot in a booth and put it in our ballot box.  We graphed the results and

Although it was close, our class thought that Mitt Romney would win!

Haunted Gingerbread Houses

Hopefully everyone got to see the finished product before they were most likely gobbled up.  Of course we were delayed in doing the houses due to the hurricane, but the kids didn't seem to care. Candy is candy no matter when you get it.  They had a blast decorating the houses.

Happy Halloween

Despite being off from school Monday and Tuesday, we had a very successful Halloween and parade.  The Haunted Gingerbread houses that were meant to be made on Monday and Tuesday were postponed and will be decorated and sent home Friday.  Today, we built the base to the house and everyone did a super job.  Tons of kids helped others when they were done building their own.
